Abstract (EN)
After the Earthquake of Marmara in 1999, there have been very important developments about the endurance and durability of structures and the studies go on increasingly about redoubling the performance of concrete that is the touchstone of building sector. To increase the performance of concrete, some studies can be done with cement, aggregate, minerals and chemical additions. In this study, the endurance, water absorption rates of concrete and the differences between these two has been observed by adding normal, super and hyper plasticizers to concrete at maximum rates, ensured from SIKA. The experiments have been made in 4 groups as witness ( pure ) concrete, concrete with normal plasticizers, concrete with super plasticizers and concrete with hyper plasticizers. By adding plasticizers to concrete it has been observed less water ratio and more endurance than the witness (pure) concrete. On the other hand, when the quantitiy and degree of plasticizers increase, the water absorption of concrete decreases. This shows that the use of plasticizers, makes positive effects to endurance of concrete used in structures and the durability of concrete and the steel in it from inner and outer effects. With increasing the endurance and durability of concrete, chemical plasticizers also show us that we may have concrete with lower costs. Chemical plasticizers provides safer and more economic structures for building sector and users with that advantages.
