Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of serum myeloperoxidase, LDH and NO levels on bronchiolitis in patients with acute bronchiolitis, in light of the current literature, and also to reveal whether the use of these parameters would be clinically beneficial. In our study, 30 patients diagnosed with acute bronchiolitis at the Pediatrics outpatient clinic of Harran University Faculty of Medicine Hospital were evaluated as the study group, and 30 healthy patients without bronchiolitis who came to the outpatient clinic for general follow-up (such as growth and development follow-up, vaccination follow-up) were evaluated as the control group. NO, LDH, Myeloperoxidase, etc. are determined using serum obtained from patients' blood. Data obtained from parameters such as were subjected to statistical analysis in the SPSS 25.0 program. According to the findings of the study; The cases in the patient group have an average LDH value of 251.77±77.92, and the cases in the control group have an average LDH value of 230.57±46.42. The cases in the patient group had an average NO (µmol/L) value of 282.42±62.24, while the cases in the control group had an average NO (µmol/L) value of 80.31±9.40. The cases in the patient group had an average MPO (ng/ml) value of 19.53±3.53 and the average value of 6.92±1.30 in the control group. There is no statistically significant difference between the LDH values of the cases in the patient and control groups. There is a statistically significant difference between the NO (µmol/L) values of the cases in the patient and control groups. There is a statistically significant difference between the MPO (ng/ml) values of the cases in the patient and control groups. There is no statistically significant correlation between the LDH, NO (µmol/L) and MPO (ng/ml) values of the patient group participating in the study. No statistically significant correlation was detected between the LDH, NO (µmol/L) and MPO (ng/ml) values of the control group subjects participating in the study. Key Words: Acute Bronchiolitis, Lactatedehydrogenase (LDH), Nitric Oxide (NO), Myeloperoxidase (MPO)
