Abstract (EN)
Aim: Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease caused by Brucella in domestic and wild animals. The innate immune responses associated with acute brucellosis effectively be activated is very little known. Our research has examined the level of expression during the acute brucellosis of inflammasome role in regulating natural immune response in order to find the answer to this question. Material and Method: In this study, the age range of 18-65 years of age, was conducted in 19 healthy volunteers and 19 volunteers acute brucellosis without any disease patients. cDNA is synthesized using RNA isolated from peripheral blood and then expression levels of AIM2, NLRP3, NLRC4 ve CASPASE-1 gene was measured. Results: In patients with acute brucellosis, NLRC4 and AIM2 inflammasome of gene expression significantly increased (p<0.05); NLRP3 and CASPASE-1 gene expression in patients and in healthy subjects, there was no statistically significant difference (p> 0.05). Conclusion: AIM2 and NLRC4 inflammasome of gene expression that involved in the innate immune response development significantly increased in patients with acute brucellosis. NLRP3 and pyroptosis responsible CASPASE-1 gene expression does not change during acute brucellosis.
