Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of acute stretching exercises on power and agility of male football players in adolescence. For this purpose, 10 male football players (age 15.8 ± 1.47 years, height 1.66 ± 0.05 m, body weight 59.6 ± 10, 7 kg) volunteered to study. The subjects participated in the control, static stretching and dynamic stretching groups, which were planned to be applied on non-consecutive days, respectively. During the warm-up phase, 8 minutes of aerobic running and 2 minutes of jog were exercised for a total of 10 minutes. After warming up, the control group was given 10 minutes of passive rest, while the static and dynamic stretching groups were stretched for 10 minutes for the main muscle groups of the whole body. After resting for 1-2 minutes, T-drill, medicine ball throwing and vertical jump performance tests were performed twice each, and the best measurements were recorded. In the statistics of these measurements, SPSS 22.0 package program was used and the level of significance was taken as p <0.05. ANOVA was applied to determine whether there was a difference between the groups, and Tukey HSD test was conducted to determine which groups had a significant difference. As a result of the research, while there was no significant difference between static stretching and dynamic stretching in terms of power performance, a significant difference was found in agility performance in favor of dynamic stretching.
