The comparesion of laparascopic versus open technique for acute cholesistitis treatment as mortality comorbidity and surgical compact

Nowadays the radical traditional approaches for surgical diseases have been replaced by the minimal invasive or endoscopical methods . In a short time laparascopic technique has been accepted as golden standart for cholesistectomy procedure and has been affective for improvement of other endoscopic surgeries. As the technological improvements were adapted to the health business and surgeons got experienced, laparascopic cholesistectomy has been indicated and used very frequently in acute cholesistitis which was contraindicated before.Laparoscopic and open technique in acute cholesistitis treatment have both advantages and disadvantages. In our study we had 338 patients that have been operated with the diagnosis of acute cholesistitis between June 2005- May 2010 and seperated them into 2 groups as laparascopic technique and open technique. We aimed to compare advantages, disadvantages, mortality and morbidity rates , peroperative and postoperative complications, the hospitalization duration , time for allowance of oral intake and surgical comfort of both techniques.We defined statistically important difference in mortality rates, peroperative and postoperative complications and hospitalization durations between laparscopic and open technique.We can point that laparascopic surgery is more comfartable for patient by the sides of cosmetic approache, less pain and earlier allowance of oral intake.The number of studies in the literature supporting the hipothesis that laparascopic tecnique which is golden standart in cholesistectomy could be used safely for acute chloesistitis is not enough. Our study has supported this tecnique. Although we agreed that much more studies with larger groups are needed.
