Abstract (EN)
In This study, Akyazı, province of Sakarya, has been monographically examined. In the first part, demography, economical and social life and folk culture of the district have been focwed. The second partincludes products of folk literature of thedistrict, transition eras that applied in Akyazı folkmedicine applictions, sacred places, entertaintments and bairams and public meteorogy. In additon, beliefs derived fromwritten and oral sources have been quoted. As the distrisct allaws many immigrantuand there fore has variow ethnical structure, it has various beliefs, folkfood and trasition eras.
