Abstract (EN)
In this study; the unsustainable forms of consumption that capitalism is bound to reproduce itself, and the areas in which these forms are spread and circulated are studied. How these forms of consumption are penetrated from habitats to habitus has been systematically questioned in the study. The concepts of mass media, pedagogical forms of action, desire, belonging, need and identity that capitalism uses to integrate individuals into unsustainable consumption have been analysed within the framework of critical paradigms. The philosophies of the Marxist and Anti-Capitalist Ecologists (Anarchists, Eco-Anarchists, Deep Ecologists, Social Ecologists, etc.), who produce ideologies that are opposed to the current consumption culture and which add these ideologies to their life philosophy -habitus and choose the narrative of sustainable consumption as a solution. The philosophy of the members in these communities is compared to the philosophy they adopt to see whether they contradict each other or not. The reasons of the contradictions found and the areas in which they were experienced were tested to be put forward based on the literature and the data in the field study conducted in Antalya. On the other hand, the analyses of the data obtained from the field study were evaluated in the light of the critical approaches in the related literature; presented in a comparative and categorical way within the scope of ideological differences and similarities of the communities defending sustainable consumption. In this context, ideas schemas of thinkers who lead to the emergence of ideological differences, their analyses and criticisms on capitalism have been interpreted by focusing on the phenomenon of consumption.
