Özet (EN)

One of the most important environmental problems today is the presence of heavy metal levels in water. Heavy metals in industrial wastes released into water appear as pollutants that do not degrade in the ecosystem. Therefore, heavy metals in wastes released into the water accumulate in aquatic organisms. As a result, it negatively affects the life of both marine organisms and people who are fed through food. There are many methods in the literature for heavy metal removal from wastewater. In our project, we have synthesised a new adsorbent, albumin nanoçiçek hybrid structures (EW-hNFs) and performed characterisation studies on the removal of some heavy metals (Pb and Ni). In the optimisation studies: time, adsorbent amount, temperature, pH and concentration parameters were investigated. Depending on these, thermodynamic parameters were established. According to the data obtained in the experimental studies, the optimum conditions were determined as 30 min, 5 mg EW-hNFs, 25 ̊ C, pH 4 and 80 mg L-1 for Pb2+ ions and 8 min, 5 mg EW-hNFs, 35 ̊ C, pH 10 and 600 mg L-1 for Ni2+ ions, respectively. Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherms were drawn as a result of concentration studies. Finally, the structures of the synthesised EW-hNFs were elucidated by SEM, EDX, XRD, and TGA analyses.
