DESIGN CRITERIA THE LOW PRESSURE PIPE IRRIGATION NETVORK (M.Sc. Thesis) Recep KANIT GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY 1987 ABSTRACT In tins thesis; basic criteria of the low Pressure pipe irrigation design is indicated. This thesis consist of siss chapters. In the. first chapter* the importance* define are explained. Applicated networks are determined in TURKEY In the second chapters. Phusical and hudraulic aspects of concrette, reinforced concrete t asbests pipes f o rounder ground irrigation distribution systems, are indicated. Spacma and installation points of abave pipes are painted out» IIIIn the third chapter, Specialised structures, which. are used with low pressure pipe irrigation network to control the water and protect the pipeline from damage, are indicated. In the fourth chapter. Discharge copaaty of the poressure pipe irrigation netvork is determined. Basic pipe-hydraulics eguations are applicated. In the fifth chapters design criteria of the low pressure irrigation system are determined and developed. Finaly, results were given in sixth chapter: Irrigation networfc types were discussed and preferable systems were shown. As ares ul t of e.%Lstino data analysis most of the condition shows relatively pipe netvork was the optimum solution pipe network gave preferable.result m TURKEY. IV
