Abstract (EN)
In Last years, as a result of significant financial and manpower loss in dwelling and industry caused by power quality problems, both electric utilities and end users of electric power are becoming increasingly concerned about the quality of electric power. power electronic applications such as frequency converters, power supplies, DC/AC inverters, electronic ballasts... etc. and arc furnaces which are nonsinusoidal loads increasing to use may cause poor power factors voltage notch or bring forth harmonics. Besides, interruptions in distribution system and voltage swell or sag are the important other problems of power quality. Therefore, cost efficient solutions for solving these power quality problems have become crucial matter for both utilities and users. In this thesis, it is explained in detail that power quality problems and solutions methods, solution costs, standard and regulations about power quality, harmonics and reducing harmonic methods in low voltage systems. As a kind of sample application it is measured harmonics in a low voltage distribution system and evaluated measurement results. Finally, reducing harmonics that are determined in the distribution system is done with this method which is simulated that supplemented tuned filter and C type high band pass filter using Matlab R2010b, Simulink software.
