Özet (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of fear of intimacy and conflict activity styles in the relationship between individuals' alexithymia levels and investment model sub-factors. The sample of the study consists of 355 people (251 women, 104 men) in the 18-25 age group. The data collection tools used in the research are respectively; Informed Consent Form, Personal Information Form, Toronto Alexithymia Scale, Fear of Intimacy Scale, Identify Conflict Style Scale and The Investment Model Scale. The model created within the scope of the research was tested with the SPSS AMOS program. The findings of the study show that fear of intimacy mediates the relationship between alexithymia and the sub-dimensions of relationship satisfaction, investment size and comparison of the quality of alternatives, which are the variables of the investment model. Research findings also show that compromising, withdrawing and problem solving conflict action styles mediate the relationship between alexithymia and relationship investment model variables at a significant level. The results reached within the scope of the research findings were discussed in the context of the relevant literature.
