Abstract (EN)

Purpose: Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening condition in which the alarm may fail after diagnosis. It is important for the rest of the person's life. The aim of our study is to increase the durability of anaphylaxis with various biomarkers. At the same time, it is possible to prepare the person for anaphylaxis with biologically detected Micro RNAs, who have a history of allergy to various allergens and who are likely to have an anaphylactic reaction. Anaphylaxis should be stopped with antagomirs of the detected Micro RNAs. A step is planned to be taken. Materials and Methods: The study included 20 patients between the ages of 0-18 who were followed up and treated at Gaziantep University Şahinbey Application and Research Hospital between May 2022 and January 2024, with acute anaphylaxis and 20 patients who did not meet the criteria suggestive of anaphylaxis. The demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients were prospectively evaluated laboratory by laboratory. Results: The average age at diagnosis of the 40 patients included in the study was 8 years and 6 months, and 20 of the patients were male. A history of atopy was present in 13 of the patients, and a family history of atopy was present in 8 of the patients. 13 patients had an accompanying allergic disease. Among the triggers of anaphylaxis, the most common triggers were foods (40%) and drugs (35%). Among the clinical findings, skin/mucosal findings were the most common (95%), followed by respiratory system and gastrointestinal system findings. 30% of the attacks were mild, 50% were moderate, and 10% were severe. Tryptase level, which could be measured in 40 patients, was higher in anaphylaxis patients than in allergy patients (p =0.008). Microrna 21 and MicroRna-155 were significantly higher in anaphylaxis patients than in allergy patients. (p=0.014 and p=0.01) MicroRna-155 was negatively correlated with age, height and weight. Conclusion: Anaphylaxis in children is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. Foods are the most common cause of anaphylaxis in children. Tryptase level is significantly higher in anaphylaxis patients. MicroRna-21 and MicroRna-155 levels are significantly higher in anaphylaxis patients. MicroRna-155 level increases as the patient's age decreases and his height and weight decrease.
