Abstract (EN)
The rapid development of technology and the integration of new media tools into daily life have significantly impacted Generation Alpha's media consumption. Generation Alpha grows up immersed in the digital world, and their media usage habits are shaped by interactions within the family. Particularly, the influence of fathers in guiding and supervising their children's relationship with media is an important subject of study in cultural studies. This study aims to examine the effects of new-generation fathers on Generation Alpha's media consumption from a cultural studies perspective. The research investigates how fathers shape their children's media habits, promote media literacy, and provide guidance in technology use. Through in depth interviews conducted with fathers of Generation Alpha individuals selected using purposive sampling, the study evaluates findings obtained from these interactions. The research findings indicate that new-generation fathers directly influence their children's media usage habits. Fathers' engagement with technology plays a determining role in how children consume and interpret media content. Furthermore, fathers' attitudes toward media literacy help shape Generation Alpha's critical perspective on digital environments. In conclusion, new-generation fathers are not only guides but also active participants in their children's media interactions. This emphasizes the significance of fathers in the process of cultural transmission and provides a new perspective on understanding their impact on Generation Alpha's media consumption.
