Abstract (EN)

The main objective of political advertising is to influence voters' thinking, attitude and behavior towards a political party or candidate. Political groups and candidates communicate various messages to voters through advertisements for this purpose. Within this goal, a number of perception management practices are used in order to convince and manipulate the target audience. In this study, perception and perception management methods are examined, as well as the development and process of perception management is studied within the relation to political advertising. It is stated that the perception management practices play an important role in political advertising. In this context, the semiotic theories are emphasized and the political advertising analysis are made within these theories.
