Abstract (EN)
In this study, the predictive effect of perceived parental attitudes on borderline personality traits and adult attachment styles was examined. The sample of the study consists of 388 people between the ages of 18-65. Personal Information Form, Egna Minnen Betraffande Uppfostran-Short Form (s-EMBU-C), Borderline Personality Inventory (BPI), Relationships Scales Questionnaire (RSQ) were asked to the participants via internet. SPSS 25 program was used for data analysis. Pearson Correlation Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were used for the relationships between scale scores. ANOVA and Independent Groups t-Test were used for differences between groups. The assumption of homogeneity of variances was examined by Levene's test. In cases where variances were not homogeneous, variance t statistics and Welch test statistics were used. Scheffe test for post hoc when variances are homogeneous; in cases where the variances were not homogeneous, the Tamhane T2 test was used. According to the results of the research, perceived parental attitudes and borderline personality features differ according to some demographic variables. Various levels of relationships were found between the variables of this study, perceived parental attitudes, borderline personality feautures and adult attachment styles. Adult attachment styles significantly predict borderline personality traits, perceived parental attitudes significantly predict borderline personality traits and adult attachment styles.
