Abstract (EN)
It is observed that women's employment participation rates are less than men in our country, not only in Turkey. In addition to women's involvement in employment, career progresses are more likely to face difficulties than men. Career barriers play an explanatory role in expressing these challenges. In this direction, the thesis focuses on the perceived career barriers of women. The aim of the thesis study is to determine the effect of perceived career barriers on career engagement of female employees. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of coping with perceived career barriers on career enge-agement. As a result of the research carried out within the scope of the thesis study, it was found that the perceived career barriers have a negative effect on career engagement and positively affect perceived career barriers. In terms of sub-dimensions, career planning deficiencies and multi-role perceived career barriers have a negative effect on career engagement. Similarly, deficiencies related to career planning and coping with multiple roles have been found to positively affect career engagement.
