Abstract (EN)

The aim this study is to explore the impacts of perceived organizational support and locus of control on stress coping behavior and to test mediating role of psychological capital between these relationships using data collected from 307 participants who are employed in special education and rehabilitation centers located in TRB-1 region (Malatya, Elazığ, Tunceli, Bingöl) of Turkey. This study also scrutinizes the variance in abovementioned variables caused by demographic factors. As a result regression analyses, we see a significant and positive association between internal locus of control and problem focused stress coping behavior and a significant and negative association between internal locus of control and emotion focused stress coping behavior. Besides, we trace a positive and significant association between internal locus of control and psychological capital, and we also find a positive and significant association between perceived organizational support and problem focused stress coping behavior. Moreover, we see that there is a positive and significant association between psychological capital and problem focused stress coping behavior. At the end, we trace mediating role of psychological capital in relationship between perceived organizational support and problem focused stress coping behavior; we also trace its mediating role on the association between internal locus of control and problem focused stress coping behavior. In addition, we find some significant associations between abovementioned variables and demographic variables such as gender, marital status, work experience, and institution size.
