The effect of perceived stress on life satisfaction: A research on private security officers

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between perceived stress and life satisfaction levels of private security workers and to determine whether there is a significant difference in perceived stress and life satisfaction levels according to demographic variables. A total of 3 questionnaires, including the Life Satisfaction Scale, the perceived stress and Inventory, and the Personal Information Forum, were administered to 200 staff members from the penal institutions. Whether there is a relationship between perceived stress and life satisfaction among the employees of the penitentiary. Then the perceived stress and life satisfaction levels of the employees; whether gender, age, marital status, educational status, year of office (seniority) and status of their status are different. SPSS program was used through T Test, Anova Test, Frequency Analysis and Correlation Analysis to gauge the variations based on p = 0.05 value. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there was a significant relationship between perceived stress and life satisfaction levels of private security personnel. This diversity is negative and has medium level of strength. According to demographic characteristics of the surveyed personnel, there was significant difference between perceived stress and life satisfaction levels.
