Abstract (EN)
Ali b. Darwish Bayazid-i Tirawî is a sûfî who lived in Ottoman lands in the last quarter of the 8th/15th and the first quarter of the 9th /16th century. Ali Efendi received his first tasawwuf education from his father, Bayazid-i Rumi, who was the Khalwatî sheikh. Afterwards, he joined Abu'l-Vafâ Muslihuddin Mustafa, the sheikh of the Vafâiyya branch of the Zayniyya sect and completed his tasawwuf education here. After getting permission from Zayniyya-Vafâiyya, he carried out guidance activities in Tire. This study consists of two parts. In the first part, information about the political and tasawwuf situation of the 16th century was given, and the information about Ali Efendi's life, his involvement in Sufism and his works were given. In the second part, Ali Efendi's tasawwuf views are examined and presented. While evaluating his Sufi views, similarities and differences were noted by comparing them with the previous Sufis. In addition, while explaining Ali Efendi's views, today's sources were also used. Ali Efendi's understanding of tasawwuf generally coincides with the views of the Zayniyya sheikhs before him. But it has also been determined that he has some unique views on issues such as the levels of seyr u sulûk, seclusion, riyâzet, the dress of the sufî, poverty, tawhid and the understanding of existence. For example, determining the ratio of food to be eaten by a sufi in seclusion or forming a classification about patience can be mentioned among his unique ideas. Again, the views of Ali Efendi, who was determined to be greatly influenced by the views of Ibn al-Arabi, on the understanding of existence and knowledge differ from the opinions of the religious orders. For example, although it is known that Zaynuddin al-Khafî supported the idea of unity of existence, it is understood from his works that Ali Efendi was close to the idea of unity of existence. Another subject that Ali Efendi mentioned is the degrees of seyr u sulûk. When we look at the works of the Zayniyya dignitaries and the works written by the Khalwatiyya sheikhs on this subject, it is seen that both sides reflect the mentality. However, he also conveys his own thoughts, one of which is to evaluate the realms of barzakh between the two realms.
