Evaluation of Ali Ekrem Bolayır's work named Şiir Demeti with the context of the themes in Turkish education

Although children's literature, the importance of our country, a new understanding of an undeniable literature for children it is a new area to be appreciated nowadays. Children's literature products serve the development of basic language skills of children. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills will be needed the lifetime of an individual. Reading materials situated in Turkish textbook help children gain language acquisition while aiming to bring the reading habits to prepare children for real life. Ali Ekrem Bolayır, not only one of the leading artists in the period of Servet-i Fünûn but also the first authors of works for children. This study comes from the new text to be translated from the Ottoman Turkish named "Şiir Demeti" at work 5 ,6, 7 and situated in the 8th grade Turkish Language Teaching Programme.
