Özet (EN)
The work Fathu Babi'l-Inayah by Ali al-Qari (d. 1014/1605), a Hanafi furūʿ (subsidi-ary) fiqh book containing and evaluating Sharīʿah evidences, holds significant importance in demonstrating the methods of reasoning and inference (istidlāl and taʿlīl) in Hanafi jurispru-dence. Fathu Babi'l-Inayah is a commentary on al-Nuqāyah by Sadru'sh-Sharīʿah (d. 747/1346), which itself is an abridgment of Wiqāyat al-Riwāyah, authored by Sadru'sh-Sharīʿah's grandfather, Burhan al-Sharīʿah (d. 709/1309), to aid memorization. Wiqāyat al-Riwāyah is one of the four foundational texts (mutūn al-arbaʿah) in Hanafi jurisprudence. In its primary source, al-Hidāyah, there are various evidences deduced regarding Hanafi fiqh. Ali al-Qari not only evaluated these evidences but also significantly added new ones, choosing to elucidate to readers how inference is made in the relevant subjects. This study examines how Ali al-Qari addresses the Hanafi approach to deriving evi-dence from hadith by applying principles of jurisprudence (usūl al-fiqh). Furthermore, the study seeks to determine Ali al-Qari's perspective on both intra-madhhab and inter-madhhab debates.
