Ali (Seyyid Muhammed Hüseyni)'s translation of Pendname (review-text)

Pendnâme is one of the most important works of Feridüddin Attar, one of the famous poets and mystics of Classical Persian Literature. The Pendnâme, which has been the source of many translations and commentaries, was also written by Muhammed Bin Seyyid Muhammed El-Muhterem El-Hüseynî in the "Tercüme-i Manzûme-i Pend-i Pendname". It has been translated from Persian to Turkish with the name of Attar. Our work; It consists of an introduction and four parts. In the introduction part of our study; General information about pendnâme and pendnâme tradition in Turkish literature is given. In the first part; Information about Feridüddin Attar's life and works, and Turkish verse translations of Pendnâme are given. giving information about the reason and history of the work; The work has been handled in terms of language and expression and morphological features. In the fourth and last part, after the transcript description of the text and the features related to the establishment of the text, the transcripted text of the work is presented. The aim of our study is to contribute to the literature by transcribing Feridü'ddin Attar's Pendnâme, which was translated as Tercüme-i Manzûme-i Pend-i Attar by Hüseyni. As a result of the literature review we conducted in line with our study; The only copy of Hüseynî's aforementioned work that we can reach is in the Istanbul University Library, Rare Works Department no.
