Abstract (EN)

Plant and water samples were collected every 1.5 months for one year and soils were samples every 3 months from 12 different stations at Guzelhısar Creek and around, Aliaga, Izmir. Their physical and chemical characteristics were determined and the productivity of the region was detected. According to the results, the soils of the region had no problems in terms of pH, brinishness and lime. Organic matter was determined as "poor on surface soil" and that it is generally "grainy and loamy soil". In terms of plant nutrients, the soil N was " insufficient"; P, Ca, Cu, Zn, B "sufficient"; K, Mg, Na "excessive"; Fe, Mn "low" and "sufficient". The lowest amount of plant nutrients is detected at the soil from 4th and 10th stations; and the highest from the soil in1st station. When the status of olive groves in the research area are evaluated according to international standards in terms of plant nutrients in the leaves, it is determined that N, K, Ca, Mg, Mn and Zn were low and P, Fe, Cu and B sufficient. It is also determined that the leaves from 8th station had the highest amount of plant nutritients; and that the lowest content was measured in the samples from 11th and 12th stations. In terms of irrigation water quality; all the waters from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th stations is considered as inconvenient; whereas the water from 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th stations can be used for agriculture.
