Abstract (EN)
TEZ KONUSU: Aliağa Körfezindeki deniz kirliliğinin bölge kefal balıklarındakirliliğin biyogöstergesi olan karaciğer EROD enzim aktivitesi ve balıktakiçeşitli metal düzeyleri ile belirlenmesiÖĞRENCİ: Onur Kenan ULUTAŞTEZ DANIŞMANI: Prof.Dr. İsmet ÇOKANABİLİM DALI: Farmasötik ToksikolojiYILI: 2007STATÜSÜ: Yüksek Lisans TeziSUMMARYAliağa Bay at the west coast of Aegean Sea nearby İzmir, hosting awide range of industrial activities such as oil-refinery, paper factory.Although waste of these industrialization, city sewer system are commoncauses of pollution, also World?s fifth biggest ship-breaking area has beenlocated near of this region. There is no national documentation or researchon determination of pollution resulted from industrial activities in this area.In this study, the degree of induction of CYP4501A-associated ERODactivity in the liver and measurement of Cr, Hg, Cd, Pb metals will be usedpollution deposit of Aliağa Bay.Difference EROD activity results between Aliağa Bay(2531.1 ±609.83pmol res/min/mg protein) and reference point(46,33 ±3.11 pmol res/min/mgprotein) is statistically significant (p=0.0004). Thus obtained results fromthis study would be the first information regarding Aliağa Bay, the resultsindicates that, Aliağa Bay has been heavily polluted with PAH typecontaminants. Results of Cr and Pb analyzes for Aliağa Bay (113.14 ±90.85ng/g and 755.35 ±348.6 ng/g) are significantly different from referencepoint(22.49 ±16.408 ng/g and 441.6 ± 142.74 ng/g) results (p<0.001 andp<0.01). Outcomes indicate that the Bay has been contaminated with Pband Cr, beside there is no significant difference for the results ofHg(Aliağa: 32.83 ±23.03 ng/g, control: 39.81 ±13.79 ng/g, p>0.05) and Cd(Aliağa: 27.88 ±19.05 ng/g, control: 21.11 ±9.85 ng/g, p>0.05) metalmeasurements.
