Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to shed light on the relationship between religion and ethics, which has been discussed by many philosophers throughout history, in line with the thoughts of Alija Izetbegović, one of the leading intellectuals of the 20th-century. While examining Izetbegovic's life, struggle and view of religion and ethics, the focus was especially on the idea of Islamic synthesis, called the "third way". This thesis aims to shed light on Izetbegovic's thoughts on the relationship between religion and morality. Qualitative research and discourse analysis techniques were used as research methods. In this context, Izetbegovic's books and sources written about him were examined with discourse analysis.
