Synthesis and characterization of new Gold(III) phthalocyanines carrying alkyl/thio groups

The purpose of this study is synthesizing peripheral hexylthio and pentyloxy substituted new gold(III) phthalocyanines. All new compounds were characterized by 1H-NMR, IR, UV-VIS and MALDI-TOF. In the first part of this work 4-(hexylthio)phthalonitrile and 4-(pentyloxy)phthalonitrile were chosen as starting material.In the second part of this work, we synthesized metal-free phthalocyanines derivatives. In the last part of this work, the new Au(III)Pcs were synthesized from metal-free phthalocyanines derivatives with reaction from K[AuCl4] .
