Özet (EN)

Carbohydrate deficit transferring (CDT) is a glycoprotein that contains sialic acid and formed by reducing of carbohydrates in transferrin structure. In recent studies showed that CDT is an indicator of alcohol cosumption. It has been reported that the carbohydrate content of transferrin (sialic acid, galactose, Nacetyl glucosamine) reduces in case of heavy alcohol cosumption.Malondialdehyde (MDA) formed during lipid peroxidation is a relatively stable product and measurable in biological samples and shows peroxidative damage. The common metod for measuring of oxidative stress in biological systems is MDA measuring.Advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP) is recently discovered indicator of protein oxidation defined as cross chain protein products that contain dityrosine. On the other hand it?s known that AOPP structure is similar to end products of glycolization. Nowadays AOPP is accepted a sensitive indicator of degree of protein oxidation. In this study we planned to measure levels of CDT, MDA and AOPP in patients with alcoholic cirrhosis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). By this way, it?s aimed the disponibility of using CDT MDA ve AOPP as a diagnostic marker in these deseases.CDT levels in each three patient groups was determined significantly high according to the control group. There was no difference in AOPP and MDA levels between patient group and control group. By this way according to this findings CDL levest most significally increases in alcohol addict group and also useful as an early diagnostic marker in cirrhosis and systemic lupus erythematosus diseases.
