Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted as a randomized controlled trial to determine the effect of creative drama training on the attitudes of alcohol-substance dependent male patients to violence against women. Study 35 people diagnosed with alcohol and substance abuse at Bolu İzzet Baysal Mental Health and Diseases Hospital (experiment: n=18, control: n=17) was performed with a male patient. In the experimental group, attitudes about violence against women were applied with five sessions of creative drama training. The scope validity indices of the creative drama sessions were taken by Davis technique (0.90-1.00). In the sessions, topics such as self-language, empathy, violence, violence against women, etc. were discussed. No training was applied to the control group and the service operation continued routinely. As a data collection tool, "Personal Information Form" and "Violence Against Women Attitude Scale" were applied. SPSS-22 was used in the analysis of the data. As a statistical analysis, mean, standard deviation, number, percentage Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test, Mann-Whitney U test was used. Statistical significance level was accepted as p<0.05. As a result of the creative drama training, the attitude scores of the participants on violence against women increased positively in the experimental group (X̄ = 84.11±19.0 X̄ = 111.50±18.8). As a result of creative drama training, the effect rate r=0.80 was calculated. However, there was no statistical change in the control group's attitude scores on violence against women (X̄=87.64±15.6, X̄ =88.11±15.5). As a result of this study, it is recommended to apply creative drama-supported training on violence against women to addicts, who are an important risk group for violence against women.
