Along with the technological developments in today's business world, the increasing competition conditions have caused changes in the workforce structure. It is important to place the right candidate in the right job so that businesses can achieve their goals in the face of these changes. For this purpose, social networking sites with a more proactive perspective have been preferred over traditional methods. In this thesis, the main purpose is to reveal the preference of social networking sites in the recruitment process and to determine how to act with a strategy based on the advantages and disadvantages created by the tools used in this process. In this context, a qualitative research was carried out for fourteen human resources specialists and managers working in the industrial companies. The questions prepared with the semi-structured interview technique were directed to the participants determined through the convenience sampling method. Content analysis was carried out with the data obtained as a result of the interviews. According to the findings obtained as a result of the analyzes, it was observed that corporate policies were prioritized by using social networking sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook and these platforms played a supportive role in the recruitment process. It has been observed that social networking sites are preferred for preliminary evaluation and elimination of candidates to adapt to the organization in this process.
