Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to make macroanatomical examination of the bones forming the neurocranium and viscerocranium of German Mast goose and French Toulouse goose, to make comparative measurements ofbone structures and to determine the arithmetic averages of these measurement, to determine the differences and similarities by comparing these two goose species and poultry species. In 6 male Germen Mast geese, the mean vertical lenght of the os frontale was 28,91 cm, the mean width of the os parietale was 28,15 cm, the mean width of the os occipitale was 30,71 cm, the mean leghth of the mandibulae was 106,33cm, the mean vertical diameter of the nostril was20,85 cm and the mean premaxillar lenght73,61 cm. ın 9 female German Mast geese, mean os frontale vertical lenght 25,82 cm, mean os parietale width was 27,40 cm, mean os occipitale width 30,20 cm, mean mandibulae length was 105,31 cm, mean nostril vertical diameter was 17,80 cm and premaxillary length was 74,91 cm. 6 male French Toulouse geese were measured as mean os frontale vertical lenght 29,76 cm, mean os parietale width 31,37 cm, mean os occipitale width 29,72 cm, mean mandibulae length 117,04 cm, mean nostril vertical diameter 21,37 cm and mean premaxillar length82,20 cm. In 6 female French Toulouse geese, the mean vertical length of the os frontale was 27,75 cm, the mean width of the os parietale was 31,26 cm, the mean width of the os occipitale was 29,10 cm, the mean length of the mandibulae was 112,0 cm, the mean vertical diameter of the nostril was 19,32 cm and the mean premaxillary length was 86,63 cm. When these measurement results were taken into consideration, it was determined that the French Toulouse goose was superior to the German Mast goose and the males were superior to the females when the sex factor was considered. As a result, although there is a similarity in anatomical sructure between the two goose species, it is thought that there are differences in the light of statistical data.
