Abstract (EN)
Low flow anasthesia is an inhalation anasthesia technique applied through a semi-closed rebreathing system in which the rate of rebreathing is at least 50%. When modern rebreathing systems are used, low anasthesia can be uttered if the speed of gas flow is decreased below 2 L/min. In this study, the comparison of the effects of BIS controlled minimal flow, low flow and high flow desfluran anesthesia on hemodynamics and costs has been aimed in this study. In our study, 60 patients were incorporated in ASA 1-2 risk group. Fresh gas flow has been started with desfluran (4-6%) at 4.0 L/min. Patients were randomly divided into three groups within first 10 minutes after the anasthesia induction in all cases, in group Y (high flow group), fresh gas flow in anasthesia maintenance was kept at 4.0 L/min; in group D (low flow group), the flow speed was decreased to 1 L/min after the 10th minute; in group M (minimal flow group), it was decreased to 0,5 L/min; anasthesia maintenance with desfluran ( 4-6%) was continued in all three groups. No meaningful distinction has been noticed in heart rate, systolic-diastolic-avreage arterial pressures, oxygen saturation and end-tidal carbon dioxide values between groups. The recovery was found to be earlier in low flow and minimal flow groups (p<0.05). Significant decrease in volatile anasthesic consumption and costs was observed in low flow and minimal flow groups (p<0.05).In conclusion, it has been determined that the low flow and minimal flow anasthesia techniques applied with desfluran resluted in faster recovery tthan high flow desfluran anesthesia, and it could decrease the volatile ansthesic agent consumption and drug costs.
