Özet (EN)

The aim of this research was to determine the effects of a three year training program amongst athletic infrastructure female students on some physical and physiological parameters. The research was carried out on students from schools under the authority of National Education Ministry ; in total 106 subjects took part in the research , of which 56 in experiment (9 years of age) and 50 (9 years of age) in control group. While the experiment group specifically trained three times per week, control group did not do any special training program other than attending regular physical education classes.Subjects in the experiment group were follow up for three years and, and measurements were taken 3 times a year. The measurements for the control group were taken once a year in order to distinguish the differences in development and training; and the data were compared against to first and the last measurements of the experiment group.Statistical analyses were done by SPSS 11 statistical package. While initial and final measurements were compared by using student t-test, 9 measurements taken through three year period were compared by repeated measures of ANOVA.Subjects height were 1389,41±67,47 mm and 1562,62±51,25 mm at the beginning and end of the study in the experimental group respectively. In the control group the mean heights of the subjects were 1392,74±63,50 mm and 1518,58±57,58 mm at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Mean body weight of the experimental group was 35,98±9,65 kg and 51,33±4,38 kg, while it was 38,40±7,46 kg and 49,03±7,31 kg in the control group at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Subjects resting heart rate were 115,77±13,22 atım/dk and 87,46±6,69 atım/dk at the beginning and end of the study in the experimental group respectively. In the control group the mean resting heart rate of the subjects were 102,10±15,34 atım/dk and 106,28±9,80 atım/dk at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Mean Boby Mass Index of the experimental group was 18,41±3,60 kg/m² and 20,00±1,25 kg/m², while it was 19,65±3,04 kg/m² and 21,24±2,81 kg/m² in the control group at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Subjects sit and reach tests were 16,10±2,63 cm and 27,72±2,28 cm at the beginning and end of the study in the experimental group respectively. In the control group the mean sit and reach tests were 18,16±2,76 cm and 20,03±2,62 cm at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Mean pulmonary function of the experimental group was MVV (first measurement(meas):56,53±13,47 lt- last measurement: 78,91±9,67 lt), VC (first meas: 1,76±0,30lt - last meas: 2,32±0,28 lt ), PEF (first meas: 2,69±0,74lt-last meas: 3,52±0,92lt), FEV 1(first meas: 1,49±0,27 lt- last meas: 1,90±0,37 lt), FVC (first meas: 1,89±0,47 lt- last meas: 2,51±0,24 lt), while it was MVV (first meas: 51,07±12,58 lt- last meas: 62,63±10,68 lt), VC (first meas: 1,61±0,22 lt- last meas: 1,81±0,22 lt), PEF (first meas: 2,20±0,51 lt- last meas : 2,18±0,55 lt), FEV 1(first meas: 1,23±0,12 lt- last meas: 1,48±0,24 lt), FVC (first meas: 1,60±0,33 lt- last meas: 1,79±0,34 lt) in the control group at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Subjects 30 m speed tests were 6,46±0,51sn/ss and 5,01±0,38 sn/ss at the beginning and end of the study in the experimental group respectively. In the control group the mean 30 m speed tests of the subjects were 6,74±0,31 sn/ss and 6,38±0,30 sn/ss at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Mean flamingo balance of the experimental group was 10,95±10,14 and 7,48±2,23,while it was 16,50±6,10 and 12,22±2,41 in the control group at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Subjects body fat percent were 19,60±4,39 gm/ml and 18,91±1,88 gm/ml at the beginning and end of the study in the experimental group respectively. In the control group the mean body fat percent were 18,81±2,88 gm/ml and 22,14±3,44 gm/ml at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Subjects 6 minute run-walk tests were 444,80±38,14 m and 497,32±45,54 m at the beginning and end of the study in the experimental group respectively. In the control group the mean6 minute run-walk tests were 431,22±34,96 m and 443,06±30,55 m at the beginning and end of the study respectively. Both experiment and the control groups showed increase in measured parameters. Better values in the measured parameters in the experimen group can be explained by the effect of the training. There were significant differences for girls having their periods in experiment and control groups (p<0.05).Key Words:Longitudinal study, female students, track&field
