Abstract (EN)

This study aims to enlighten and analyze the relations of alterity and signification from the perspective of ethical concretness in the philosophy of Emmanuel Lévinas. The study aims to show how alterity and signification come together in ethical thought. Ethics is relation to the alterity (otherness) and, signification results from this relation. The place of signification is in the ethic in which the same opens itself to the other. As interrupting sameness in other words the ontological order ethic announces the beyond which expresses the otherwise than being. Ethic is the possibility of transcendence for the ego which was absorbed in being. By the mean of ethic the ego rises upon being and in this rising signification comes into being. At the end the signification takes place where being is interrupted and where the alterity appears. With this way the meaninglessness of being becomes scattered and being reaches a meaning on ethical base.
