Abstract (EN)

Ceramic is an invention that is getting strong when its fired. Recognized as one of the oldest forms of art and the human beings settled after passing an important material for use in daily life has taken its place. Very thin pieced, viscous slime sludge, dried and baked in mesh baskets plastered over. Firstly , the aim of firing has been to provide a durable life. But this process has became new searches in time. The progress of firing technologies, have gained resistance to external factors, use of ceramic products revealed that the enlarged area. The last stage in the emergence of ceramic is firing and it became unusual and artistic forms over time has gained a new dimension.Saggar firing is one of the important developments of this technique. It is fired in a reducive furnace in which oxygen input, necessary for the realization of technical combustion, is restricted. Sagar boxes, the technique is called after, are consist of firebrick, high refractoriness and high temperature resistant metal clay boxes inside which the product is placed and the internal furnace covers that protect from flying ash or unwanted stains. Firstly, it is used in China for wood and coal flame firing of seledon glazed porcelain products in order to protect these porcelain from the contect of ash or gasses. The aim of the artistic sagar firing, contrary to its first purpose of use, is to pair up the ceramic materials in state of biscuits with oxide, sawdust, dry leaves, salt and various materials. The combistion takes place and at the same time the effects of organic and inorganic substances on the piece are powered while the furnace is protected from unwanted effects.Among the reductive firing techniques this is an alternative technique that provides unlimited transitive apperances without the use of glaze The effects of the technique that cannot be obtained with other common methods, requiers long-term studies, and improves the curiosity and is found intriguing.
