Abstract (EN)
When it comes to infrastructure, we could list several underground network lines such as sewer systems, potable water supply, natural gas, electricity, and internet. These network lines have a place in meeting various needs of settlements and maintain residents' living standards at the time of power interruption. Therefore, infrastructure network lines are of vital importance and require meticulous management. This could be achieved by the use of Infrastructure Information Systems, which are built based on geographical information and allow for the use of verbal and numerical data gathered from underground network lines through a special software. Specifically, Infrastructure Information Systems enable us to perform various interrogation and analysis with the use of a set of databases from different sources and to solve many problems regarding underground network lines when updated regularly. Some infrastructure institutions in Turkey have conducted research on infrastructure information systems and made some implementations in line with their findings. While some institutions have used infrastructure data by integrating it into their city information systems, other institutions have built and used information systems, where only infrastructure data is available. In this thesis, we evaluate underground network line in the city of Konya, Selcuklu in Bosnia and Herzegovina districts within the framework of infrastructure information systems, and discuss potential implications.
