Özet (EN)

Lost Foam Casting of light metals such as aluminum and magnesium alloys with low melting temperature commercial dumps a long time is made. However, the porosity in castings in reveal a significant problem. In this study, different densities of foam casting model with varying temperatures on the test pieces density and porosity the influence was investigated. A380 aluminum alloys casting well known and widely used for the experiments is preferred. The content of porosity is determined and compared through measurement of density and examination of microstructure. Casting porosity and density measurements with the microstructural examination of the content determined and were compared. Model casting at the casting temperature of the foam density and the density of the connections between the most likely reasons with the has been. In this study casts have been made at 680 ˚C, 700 ˚C, 720 ˚C, 740 ˚ C, 760 ˚C, 780 ˚C ve 800 ˚C temperatures for three different EPS patterns which have 8.4 kg/m3, 16.3 kg/m3 and 26.2 kg/m3 density values. According to the cast parts it has been recorded that three are no distinct changes from 680 °C up to 780 °C and significant rise occurs at 800 °C. Between 680 °C-780 °C when the cast densities are compared for the same temperature, casts made with EPT pattern which has medium density (16.3 kg/m3), have higher metal density than the others.
