Abstract (EN)
It is possible to say that qiraat (Qur'anic readings), which has an important place among Islamic sciences, has emerged as a knowledge with the first encounter of Prophet Muhammad with Gabriel. Transmitted by his companions and their followers respectively, the knowledge of qiraat has reached the present day through the works of important scholars and their students. Although there have been interruptions in the transmission through tadwin (writing) at certain times, this knowledge has been transmitted through the tradition of hifz (memorization). It is clear that our country has a rich accumulation of manuscripts on qiraat and s significant number of these manuscripts is also found in our libraries. This thesis examines the manuscripts on qiraat and tajweed (rules of Qur'an recitation) found in Bayezid II Library of Amasya by taking into account both the city's status as the city of princes and its historical and cultural heritage. On the other hand, the library holds an important position in the region both in terms of its manuscripts and its cultural value. Apart from manuscripts related to Islamic sciences, there are more than 4,000 works, including risala (treatises) and majmu'a (collected volumes), in the library. When we count the duplicates and journals as a single work, there are 278 works. As far as we can reach, there are 41 works in prose and poetry related to qiraat and tajweed in Arabic, Persian, and Ottoman Turkish, excluding the duplicate copies. This thesis examines the language, content, physical features, authors, and scribes of these works as well as the life of mentioned authors. As a source of inspiration for studies related to qiraat, these works offer new research areas. The manuscripts of the library are listed, and the list of manuscripts are compared with the published manuscript catalog records and the ISAM library database.
