The aim of this study is, to investigate the alterations of the traditional pattern which Amasya has got, to evaluate it determining the value of this pattern and the problems they have and bring forth the preservation proposal related to preserving the values and solution of the problems. In this thesis which taken up with an integrated preservation approach, the traditional pattern on the Sofular district and the vicinity which has got densely traditional pattern was investigated in detail and evaluated. Nevertheless, the preservation decisions were developed in order to preserve the values of area, solve the problems, develop the preservation consciousness and sustainable preservation of the area. Starting with environmental scale, the study is detailed up to socio-cultural structure and building scale.
