Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to compare the food consumption and nutritional support products usage status of amateur and professional team football players and some anthropometric measurements. The research was carried out on 94 professional and amateur football players playing licensed football. Forty-nine of these football players play in the super league and 45 of them play in the amateur league. It was stated that the football players participating in the study played football professionally for an average of 4.71±4.57 years. Three-day food consumption records of the football players were taken to evaluate the nutritional status of the participants. In these food consumption records, the application method was adjusted as 1 day without training, 1 day on training day and 1 day on match day. The rate of those who use nutritional supplements or ergogenic supplements in amateur league team football players was determined as 84.4% and the rate of those who did not use it was determined as 15.6%. The rate of those who use nutritional supplements or ergogenic supplements of football players in the Super League is 79.6%, and the rate of those who do not use it is 20.4%. It was determined that the athletes mostly used branched-chain amino acids (44.74%) and the majority of them (74.5%) did not comply with the recommended dietary practices. In this study, the attitude scale towards nutritional ergogenic supplements in athletes was used. The items in the attitude scale towards nutritional ergogenic supplements were prepared according to a 5-point Likert-type rating scale. It is given in four ranges from 1-5 with a 5-point Likert Type Scale ("5" Strongly Agree, "1" Strongly Disagree). Scoring for each interval is found by dividing the number of intervals by the number of items. The process is formulated as 4:5=0.80. In this study, 7 regions of the athletes were measured by caliper skinfold thickness. The sum of skinfold thickness was calculated from these measurements to find the body fat percentage using the Jackson-Pollock method. As a result; The majority (81.9%) of the super league and amateur league football players participating in the research are currently using ergogenic support products; It has been observed that these products are taken with the advice of dietitians and trainers. In this study, those who used nutritional ergogenic supplements used both natural nutrition and nutritional supplements. It has been determined that those who do not use nutritional support products are fed only with natural nutrition. In both teams, the frequency and duration of training were found to be higher in those who used ergogenic support products than those who did not use it.
