Our ancestors in the early human period cultivated the land, learned to make and use tools, and used packaging to meet their needs. Packaging in ancient times was used only to protect the product stored inside. These packages consisted of wicker baskets, leathers, amphorae and ceramic vessels. There is a parallel between the evolution of human beings and the evolution of packaging. Although the main function of packaging is to protect the product, its main task is to attract the attention of the consumer. Today, there are many similar packaging designs on market shelves. In order for the packaging to attract the attention of the consumer, it must be attractive, beautiful and have an original design that is different from others. There have been changes in packaging designs in response to the innovations brought by technology in line with the demands and needs of the target audience, which has changed from past to present. When designing a packaging, a design should be created by being aware of the positive and negative aspects for the target audience, without forgetting the competitors and society. Imaginative problems such as not providing accurate information to the consumer due to misleading and exaggerated expressions, and playing with the consumer's emotions negatively affect the consumer. As a solution to these problems, it is important for the consumer to present the product and visuals to the consumer in a way that they do not conflict with each other and at the same time to make designs that comply with advertising laws.
