Abstract (EN)

The research was conducted in a deskriptive cross-sectional manner to determine the ethical sensitivity and influencing factors of the operating room employees. Using the sample selection method known to the working island universe, 192 (73.28%) health workers were reached from a total of 262 people working in the operating rooms of hospitals in the city center of Bolu. Data were collected using the Identifier characteristics scale, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (MJSS) and Moral Sentiment Questionnaire (MSQ). Number, percentage, mean, standard deviation was used to evaluate the data. The normality assumptions of the variables were examined with skewness-kurtosis values. Independent t test, Unidirectional Analysis of Variance for normal distribution variables, Mann Whitney you and Kruskal Wallis H test were used for normal distribution variables. The binary comparison in categorical variables was made by Chi-square test. Post-hoc Bonferroni test was used to determine the difference between three or more groups. In the correlation analysis of continuous variables, spearman test was applied. It was seen that 44.8% of the employees were undergraduate graduates, 59.9% were physicians, 21.9% were nurses, the average of 36.06±9.8 and 74.5% of them worked in the training and research hospital. 44.8% of the employees stated that they encountered an ethical problem, 67.4% could not solve this ethical problem, and 28.1% stated that they had not received any training in ethics before. A statistically significant difference was found between the MJSS and lower satisfaction scores of the employees according to their occupation, education, satisfaction with working in the operating room, working co-work, etc. (p<0.05). It was determined that those with high job satisfaction faced fewer ethical problems (p<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between the MSQ and sub-dimension scores of the employees according to their gender, sibling ownership and education status, the institution studied, the training received on ethics, etc. (p<0.05). In the study, between the sub-dimension of MJSS and internal satisfaction, MSQ and autonomy, holistic approach, orientation sub-dimensions; there was a significant relationship between the external satisfaction sub-dimension of MJSS and the sub-dimension of MSQ and autonomy (p<0.05).
