Basic rights and liberties in the Constitution of United States of America

The law of United States of America is vastly different from the law of Continental Europe and also other countries. Even when the rest of the World did not have a constitutional act about human rights, Americans who came to the New World to look for religious freedom they couldn't find in sixteenth century England, founded new governments with their individual rights. In the new government they founded, they created a system where citizens were more imporant than the state. When the fight for Independence was over, The Americans developed a judicial system which protected the Right of Speech, Religious Freedom, Fair Trial which they based on Classical English thinkers and also a government system where the government's value is calculated by how much it respects a citizen's human rights. United States of America is still using the same Judicial System they had three hundred years ago with a few amendments. The purpose of this study is to examine this Judicial System's outlines with its pros and cons. In this study, America's history and the protection of basic human rights in its Constitution with main Supreme Court decisions will be reviewed together.
