Abstract (EN)
Recall, a procedure that allows voters to terminate the mandate of an elected official or a public body before end of its legal term, is currently a right in the political system of 34 different countries. However, the country that applies this right most effectively and ideally is the United States. Many countries have prepared their recall laws by inspiring from the United States, and the USA is the center of the literature on the subject. Therefore, in this study, which examines the theory and practice of the right to recall with its effects and consequences, the procedure of the right to recall in the United States is examined and evaluated in detail with its historical and intellectual bases. Moreover, in the context of the results to be obtained during the examination, an answer is also being sought to the question on the applicability of this right in Turkey.
