In the change from traditional energy to intelligent energy systems, sustainable development, environment and food safety must be considered. Hydrogen energy is proposed as a fuel carrier in order to improve the resource utilization, yield, cost efficiency and low carbon emission of the energy system. It is necessary to develop the storage medium to be reliable, efficient and low cost to increase commercial use performance, especially for hydrogen portable systems. The design of the hydrogen production system based on the catalytic hydrolysis of ammonium borane (NH3BH3) is predicated on meeting the requirements of intelligent energy. The aim of this study is the preperation of NH3BH3 pellets for portable applications and investigation of their uses in H2 energy system. For this aim, NH3BH3 which was prepared as a composite with Co-B catalyst have been kept in cartrige at different temperature and time conditions and changes in structure and H2 production performance have been investigated. The effect of the factors that affect the hydrogene production rate have also been investigated based on the statistical methods. It is suggested that NH3BH3 composite pellets which have properties such as high energy capacity, safety, controlled H2 release and easy portability, should be used as fuel cartrige for daily applications and these cartriges should be filled once a week, carriage temperature should be below 50oC.
