Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, activated carbon (C) was produced from the almond husk and Ni-W-B, Cu-Cr-B catalysts were attached to this activated carbon surface to increase its catalytic activities. Therefore, recently, heterogeneous catalysts with high catalytic activity and inexpensive have been produced for the hydrolysis of ammonia borane, which has been shown to be the most promising chemical hydrogen storage material. Firstly, activated carbon was synthesized by chemical activation in the microwave using phosphoric acid activator. The efficiency of microwave gas medium, microwave power, microwave time, activation temperature, activation time and impregnation rate parameters were investigated while synthesizing activated carbon. The identification of obtained activated carbon and catalysts were carried out using analytical methods such as N2-adsorption-desorption, SEM, EDX, XRD, IR, and XPS. The effect of NaOH concentration, NH3BH3 concentration, catalyst amount and medium temperature parameters were investigated in hydrolysis experiments of ammonia borane. In addition, reaction temperatures and activation energies were determined by kinetic studies using data obtained from experiments performed at different temperatures.
