A research on the speaking skills of the students whose native language is Arabic

Nowadays\ at the present time learning a foreign language is a very important skill. The first purpose of learning a foreign language is to build\have a good communication. That is why in learning foreign language speaking skill is take one more important step than other languages skills. Because of that people through speaking skill they can communicate with each other in productive way. The method that was used in this research is a quantitative method. In this study some of the students whose studied in TÖMER at Sakarya University whose mother tongue is Arabic were selected. In this quantitative study, the forth section of the survey which is contain choosing words, translating, pronunciation and forming sentence's parts and the voice records of the second section of survey will be analyzed. This study's basic purpose is to ascertain the problems\difficulties of Arab students in Turkish speaking skill and trying to offer a solutions for these problems. In addition to that this study aimed to recognize the kind of errors that students make while speaking Turkish language and to recognize the reasons\causes behind those errors too. In the survey of this study the students errors in speaking skill were classified as phonetic errors, grammatical errors and contextual errors. In this research the mother tongue and the second language impacts will be seen during the process of Turkish language acquisition. It will be indicate that the mother tongue and second languages that Arab students already have learnt left an negative impacts on the process of learning Turkish language. Farther, it will be seen clearly the negative impact of the common words between mother tongue and target language. Finally, in this study it will be showed if there is a relation between pronunciation and spelling. To help Arabic speaker to learn Turkish speaking skill in solid way in this study will offer suggestions for it
