Abstract (EN)
After bequeathing of Pergamum Kingdom to Rome by King Attalos III in 133 BC, Rome which was increasingly strenthening in 2.century BC, has started to take more active role in management of Asia Minor. Rome in Anatolia beside management was also effective in economic, social, cultural and religious meaning and was also brought its own style of architecture and technical knowledge. During this period Roman architectural structure can be seen in Anatolia. Within these structures temples, which are in each time one of the most important buildings for all comunities, has been seen the influence of Roman engineering. Monumental structures in big sizes of Clasical and Hellenistic Period were replaced by temples in small sizes, which were economic and combined with different styles.Circular temples which represent an unusual architecture and are in a small number forms the subject of this thesis. They are one of the many different architectural form brought by Rome. The use of circular plan in Anatolia in domestic architecture is known since 9000 BC. But using circular plan in temple architecture is seen in Roman Period.Anatolian circular temples are belong to period between 2.century BC and 4. century AD. They are in tipical Roman style, with high podyum, economic, small sizes and decoration style reflecting Roman Period.
