What are the attitudes of Fine Art High School Students in music departmenttowards teaching as a profession which is a corner stone in music education? And, atwhich level do the students who choose having music education reach their aims andcontinue their life? With the respect to these questions, this study is fulfilled tosearch the attitudes of fine art school students towards teaching music as aprofession.The space of the study is the music departments in fine art high schools andthe sample of the study is zmir Işılay Saygın Fine Art High School, Aydın YükselYalova Fine Art High school, Denizli Hakkı Dereköylü Fine Art High School, andzmir Ümran Baradan Fine Art High School where the reliability and validity studiesare done in Aegean region.Data of the study is collected with the scale of the attitudes of fine art schoolstudents towards teaching music as a profession which is developed by theresearchers themselves. There are 25 attitude statements in the scale.Data was analyzed with SPSS (The Statistical Packet for Social Sciences)Programme and with the help of the results, suggestions were presented.
