Reflections of culture of dressing into the tile and ceramics art in Anatolia under Turkish reigon

Ceramics production is one of the oldest and lasting contributions of humanity to civilization. This production which started in Neolithic age to continue in the era of permanent settlement as well is still alive today. As obvious from this fact, ceramics is very significant in terms of providing the necessary information for an understanding and assessment of our history. It is possible to have a view of important characteristics of civilizations upon examination of their ceramics tradition.Our knowledge about the tile and ceramics art in Anatolia under Turkish reign has been increasing thanks to the new scientific analysis methods, excavation reports, and academic-artistic researches and studies. Nevertheless, the number of illustrated and annotated publications about the culture of dressing in the same era in Anatolia is limited.This thesis titled ?Reflections of Culture of Dressing into the Tile and Ceramics Art in Anatolia under Turkish Reign? is oriented to conduct a research on the issue from a both historical and contemporary perspective. The main purpose of the study is to search the historical development of tiles and ceramics in Anatolia under Turkish reign and to support it with a research on the culture of dressing in the same era in order to enable production of works in the light of the information obtained through these researches. In addition, this study aims to be supportive of the further studies to be conducted. The ceramic works produced in the light of the information obtained from researches is also displayed in an exhibition.
