Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to describe organizational identities of Anadolu University?s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) and Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (FEA) and thus to explore the similarities and differences between these two faculties in terms of organizational identity. The organizational identity of each faculty is described with a phenomenographic approach by focusing on perceptions of internal stakeholders. In order to describe each faculties organizational identity thoroughly, the study designed as a qualitative case study. The empirical material of the study is generated by the use of semi structured interviews supported by documents and videos. The results of the study revealed that FEAS is perceived as a faculty strongly tied to its historical background, open and distance education focused, education oriented, loosely interacting with its external stakeholders and it is positioned just below the best, whereas FEA is perceived as the faculty of Anadolu University, accredited, research oriented, geographically far away, socially underdeveloped, the hub of enhancing university-industry collaboration and it should be positioned among the best of its kind.
